GOP Revolt

Published by boazitshaky under Campaign News

There is something especially inspiring in watching democracy in action. Today, as has been the case all week, Republican Members of Congress took to the House floor to stand up for Americans who need relief from rising energy costs.

Sadly, what we’ve also seen this week is democratic inaction. When Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Congress skipped town last week, adjourning before Republican Members had a chance to speak about their energy plan on the House floor, they walked out on Congress and essentially walked out on the needs of the American people.

An American Agenda for the 21st Century: Immigration

Rich emailed me a question:

“I notice there is no position on illegal immigration on your site.  The majority of Americans want this fixed for certain. When will the site have a position on this?”

Rich here’s what I think will work best…

An American Agenda for the 21st Century: Immigration

Short Term

·         Seal tight our permeable borders as soon as possible, because national security and entry routes are key issues concerning illegal immigration.

·         Initiate a four (4) months time period, through which all illegal immigrants will be required to register with the authorities. We ought to know how many immigrants are living illegally in the United States, because at this time we simply don’t know and we can’t keep guessing, 11 million… 20 million.

·         From the end of that period and until congressional action on the matter – Illegal immigrants found not to be registered with the authorities shall be deported.

·         All illegal immigrants with past and/or present (additional) criminal activities shall be deported immediately.

Mid Term

·         Establish a bi-partisan committee, which will provide recommendations to Congress.

·         The committee will be structured with an equal number of members from each party.

·         The committee will be assigned to provide with a unified (bi-partisan) long term solution to illegal immigration.

·         The committee will present its conclusive recommendations to Congress within a timetable of no longer then one year.

Long Term

·         Congress will review the committee’s conclusion – amend (if needed) – ratify and bring it into action.

·         It is also important to remember that planetary prosperity – equal to ours – will drastically reduce illegal immigration.

Respectfully,

Boaz “Bo” ItsHaky

House Republicans go back on the floor Monday to talk gas prices

Published by boazitshaky under Campaign News

“…House Republicans will be back on the floor Monday to talk gas prices, even though Congress is in recess, and they may stay there all week.

More than a dozen Republicans have already committed to make appearances, according to House GOP leadership aide, including National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Cole (Okla.).”
