Republican Principles for the 21st Century!

Boaz ItsHaky marks one full year of campaigning to bring the Third District principled representation in the next Congress!

Time certainly flies! It was one year ago that Boaz ItsHaky made public his determination to never surrender until the hard-working people of the Third District receive the sensible, principled representation they deserve!

During this last year, Bo highlighted problems with Democrat initiatives, and outlined commonsense solutions to America’s resilient crisis. He’s broken down Democrat myths about:

The TARP Bailout. Who was getting hundreds of billions and for what? Treasury swore it was to remove all that red on our banking system’s books. A year later, and guess what? The Red’s still there!

• Boaz ItsHaky would not have voted for the TARP bailout. Instead, he would call for a Congressional investigation about the practices of these banks, starting with how they lured people into mortgages, how they dumped mortgage securities on investors while knowing they were worthless, and how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac aided the industry into stealing the peoples’ money by inflating the housing bubble to the point of bursting!
  

The Stimulus Package. That’s the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, or ARRA. (Around here, we pronounce it ERROR.) It hasn’t created anything except a black hole in our wallets. And, this one’s FAR from done.

• Boaz ItsHaky’s first act in Congress would be introducing the ARRA Suspension and Debt Obligation Repayment Act. That’s right, since most of the trillion dollars has not been spent, most of it should be canceled. Or, what’s left can be spent on paying down older, higher-interest debt obligations, as Rep. Eric Cantor has suggested.

Healthcare Reform: Not enough is known about this unaffordable behemoth. Not only will it nationalize the largest sector of America’s economy, it will reward gigantic insurance corporations who are known for generous campaign donations to Democrats.

• Boaz ItsHaky does not accept Democrat solutions of healthcare reform for one reason: They are not solutions! Bo is confident getting government out of the way is the best way to reduce costs and expand coverage. Furthermore, this is not even a federal issue. Only the states have the authority to pass health care reforms, such as universal health coverage, or permit multiple insurance carriers, or pool insurance plans for group discounts.

The Budget: After all those complaints about President Bush’s budget deficits (which Pelosi and Reid had no problem passing), Democrats foisted a fiscal monstrosity on America.

• Boaz ItsHaky will not vote for a budget that isn’t balanced. And that means, if the revenues are expected to be less, then the budget had better be less. Bo’s got to keep his own checkbook balanced. He expects the wizards on Capitol Hill to do the same!

Pay-Go. The biggest promise Democrats made has also never been kept!

• Boaz ItsHaky supports the former Democrat principle of Pay-As-You-Go.  As stated, he won’t vote for a budget if its not balanced. And that includes appropriations, which the Democrats like tack on months later to reward special interests and lobbyists when nobody’s paying attention.
  

Pay Raises. The Democrats clamor against executive bonuses, as though CEO salaries are the reason America’s in a deep recession. But when Republicans offered a bill suspending Congressional raises, Democrats refused to bring it to the floor!

• Boaz ItsHaky is certain members of Congress get paid more than enough. They didn’t need the extra $3,000 raise. He is also offended that these same people complain about CEO pay. Congress should take a look at what federal administrators get for pay before they denounce the private sector.
  

Social Security. Democrats are terrified to admit they’ve bankrupted America’s largest entitlement program.

• Boaz ItsHaky is convinced Social Security is in jeopardy. That’s why he wants to snap a lock on the Social Security fund to keep Democrats from raiding it for their pet projects. The money’s collected separately from every paycheck we earn. Its NOT supposed to be part of the general fund.

Medicare: Democrats have also gutted Medicare with their latest healthcare reform bill.

• Boaz ItsHaky will shore up Medicare by submitting the Medicare Audit and Remediation Act. This bill would end the fraudulent submissions to Medicare, first by having IRS auditors to examine millions of records to expose clear fraud, and then streamline the claims process so they would be accessible to both the patient and the doctor in case of any questionable charges.

Cap-and-Trade. ACES was an ace in the hole for Democrats, but nobody can admit what this thing will do to American business. One thing’s certain: carbon traders on Wall Street will become rich, and ACES will do nothing to curb climate change.

• Boaz ItsHaky champions reducing pollution and exploring alternative energy sources. Bo’s method of rewarding innovators in pollution remediation and alternative energy production with government contracts is more progressive than the Democrats’ chief method: handing our tax money as unaccountable grants to their biggest campaign donors.

GM: The ministry of GM has been an international fiasco, and the car-making giant is still losing billions of dollars even after taking $50 billion in tax-paid “loans” it will never pay back.

• Boaz ItsHaky is not surprised by the failure of GM’s nationalization. The private company had a bad business plan and that is why it failed. Ford, by contrast, turned itself around with good business practice. Bo is convinced that business will succeed when it wants to, and when government pulls back its giving hand!

Student Loans: Democrats forced the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA) on America, nationalizing all student loans and obliging students to work for the Federal Government.

• Boaz ItsHaky considers SAFRA an intrusion into the private loan business, and the student “volunteerism” clauses to be a mockery of all that volunteering stands for. In addition, forcing students into performing community service is a violation of their civil rights, and should not be a contractual obligation for obtaining a loan for education!

ACORN: The community service enterprise called ACORN was temporarily defunded by SAFRA. Its now operating at full swing once more!

• Boaz ItsHaky is outraged by the criminal activities of many of this organization’s offices. He insists that Congress not only defund ACORN permanently, but hold investigations of why tax money has been used to fund an organization that advises criminals on importing sex slaves, on imprisoning horribly abused children and women, and hiding them from liberation by police, as well as tax fraud and housing violations.
  

Food Safety: Democrats have become the biggest food police since Soviet collectivizing in the 1930s. Their bills have threatened small family-owned farms, organic farms, farmers’ markets, and private food sales.

• Boaz ItsHaky is a big supporter of organic farming, and will champion the repeal of any law that threatens small farms and the good work they do in providing locally grown and organic produce. He will oppose bills that favor agro-corporations, especially as they have been the banner contributors to Democrat campaigns.

Product Safety: Democrats have passed a law that practically makes tag sales illegal, as well as handicrafts, home industries, and small workshops. Its all in the name of YOUR safety.

• Boaz ItsHaky will demand a repeal of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. It is a knee-jerk reaction to the lead paint scandal involving imported toys, and punishes domestic producers and low-income families who depend on extra money earned from home industries.

Dairy Farms: Democrats have been running around in circles on the dairy crisis. They were irresponsible enough to go to Brussels to ask the EU to buy American dairy products at a time when Europe is wracked with riots over the collapse of milk prices!

• Boaz ItsHaky would not waste time and money and energy petitioning our trading partners to buy what they already have too much of. (Only Democrats think they can sell milk to dairy cows.) It is up to the states to provid short-term subsidies to local dairy farmers while urging the industry to reduce production and encourage retailers to modify their price structure so farmers can earn their rightful profit.

Fair Pay: The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act promises fairer pay. But for whom?

• Boaz ItsHaky is a supporter of equal compensation for equal work. But the Fair Pay Act gives ambulance-chasing lawyers greater leverage in suing companies for violations already addressed by current law. Bo cannot support a law that’s just a pay-off to lawyer lobbies that have given so many contributions to the Democrats!

Auditing the Federal Reserve: The Democrats are terrified of what may be uncovered should the Fed get audited. That’s because the Fed’s biggest, most secretive customers have done great damage on Wall Street and are also huge donors to Democrat incumbents.

• Boaz ItsHaky wants to see the Federal Reserve audited. He doesn’t want to compromise banking relationships but rather allow the American people to understand just how the world’s biggest network of banks operates. Perhaps then, we’ll learn why $1 worth of goods in 1913, when the bank was enacted, costs almost $97 today!

Yes, its been a busy year for Congress, with no sign of the Democrats letting up. They’ve got a program chock full of waste, abuse, graft, corruption, and pay-offs for the billions given to them by special interests. The 2010 federal budget is already being written by the lobbyists, and who knows how much more pork and largesse they’re writing for themselves? How much of our tax money will the Democrats promise to give them in exchange for getting them reelected in 2010?

Well, the clock is ticking: its less than a year until election time. Less than a year to alert more than one million people in the Third District that there is a candidate who WILL legislate on their behalf, and who WON’T FORGET the people who charged him with their confidence!
