I Need Your Help!
Our Congress has been wracked with lobbyists, corruption, pay-for-play, earmarks, and every other kind of graft. Because of this, we have had to suffer the theater of partisan wrangling and some very poor legislation. In spite of nationwide dissatisfaction with our Congress, America’s voters returned 94% of incumbents to office in 2008!
Yes, We CAN Do Better.
The first task to fixing our broken legislature is by cleaning House. Literally. That’s why I am starting Campaign 2010 so early. But time flies, as they say. The next election day will be here before you know it, and there’s so much work to be done. That’s why I need YOUR help now!
Here’s YOUR to-do list:
- Donate to my campaign.
Please give financial support. I know its not easy in this economic climate. But let’s face it, the biggest reason to contribute IS the economic climate (especially thanks to Rep. DeLauro’s poor voting record). - Join my social network.
I’m on Twitter and Facebook. How about you? Soon, my campaign will start Meetup groups to help bring supporters closer to my campaign. - Recycle my blogs.
Be politically friendly and recycle my blogs! My site stays on top of Congressional waste and incompetence. Spreading my take on Washington’s failed policies is a sure way to gain supporters. - Raise awareness.
Write letters to your local paper, post links to my website in chatrooms and forums, call radio stations and ask them to invite me on. There’s a lot of ways to spread word of my candidacy without having to go door-to-door. (Of course, that helps too!) - Raise funds.
Yes. That’s the hardest part of the campaign process. The grunge work. But its also the most important. Rep. DeLauro doesn’t have this problem: money flows to her from big corporate PACs. But I must rely on the people, and believe me, I’m more than honored to do so! - Register to vote.
And encourage others to register to vote. Party affiliation is a personal choice. But voting is a civic responsibility.
There’s so much to do between now and November 2010. You won’t believe how fast it will be here. So let’s get started now!
And remember, a financial contribution of any amount - $15, $50, $100, or the legal maximum of $4,800 of course - will go a long way toward helping give the people of the Third District a real choice.
Let’s be honest: Rep. DeLauro has been entrenched in the 3rd District for far too long. Its time for a fresh perspective, a new approach to representation, and a dedicated individual who has seen much of the world and treasures America’s important place in it.
Won’t you help me bring common sense to Washington?
